Back Home

Arrived back home last night after 2 very long driving days from Colorado.  Lauren’s new apartment is cute and we got a lot accomplished in a few days trying to get her set up before we had to leave to come home.  Her blog is www.laurenstout.com and she has some pictures up of the apartment.

I didn’t get to exercise as much out there, but we did a hike at dinosaur ridge and the Denver museum.  Plus walking in the morning down the street and back.  But I’m happy to say that I didn’t gain an ounce!!  Didn’t lose any, but didn’t gain any.  I’m happy with that considering sitting in the car for 5 days.

I plan on getting back in the swing of concentrating on health again after a few more days of mothering….concentrating on getting April packed up for her move into her new apartment at PSU. We will get her moved in this next weekend.  We are combining it with a camping weekend with the Drzal’s.  So we should get some relaxing camping time too.  Can’t wait.

WHEN IS THIS HEAT GOING TO BE OVER???

Biggest Burgers……….

Last night we split a 2lbs burger. They acutally make a 15lbs and 50lbs burger that you have to order ahead.  Needless to say it was too much burger for 2 people.  I’ll post pictures as soon as I can get them from phone to PC when we get home.

First Running Class

Well, last night was the first running class.  We discussed proper footwear, clothing, even underwear and socks!  I have to go get fitted for new shoes, mine are wearing out and make my lower legs hurt.

Towards the end of class we went down to the track and our leader split us up. First group was people who could run (jog) the track 4X around without stopping (1 mile). Next was the group who could probably do 2 laps then walk 2.  I was in the last group smile_omg of course with one other woman.  We ran 1/4 of the track and walked 3/4 then repeated that for 4X around.  Then after checking in we had more time so Michelle and I walked another 2 laps.  Weather was beautiful. I hope next week will be just as nice, plus April will be joining us!  smile_regular  We will do one more or two more weeks of the track work to see where everyone’s level of running is then move to places around Reading.  That should be more fun than the track.

We pick up April tomorrow from PSU! She said today that is is ready for a break.  She has her last 2 finals today and feels that she did well on the other ones.  Like she told Bob on the phone last night, “I kicked their ass!”  LOL
